Hyperacusis Research is pleased to announce expanded funding opportunities through our new partnership with Tinnitus Quest (TQ), helping to accelerate the search for effective treatments and a cure for hyperacusis.

Researchers worldwide may now apply for grants of up to $100,000 through our partnership with TQ. Application materials can be found here and the deadline to apply for this funding opportunity is July 15, 2026.

At the same time, Hyperacusis Research will continue its longstanding and highly valued partnership with Hearing Health Foundation (HHF). The next HHF grant cycle is expected to open in December 2026.

Together, these partnerships expand the opportunities available to researchers and strengthen our efforts to advance the understanding, treatment, and ultimately the cure of hyperacusis. We believe both approaches are important and complementary. HHF has a strong track record of supporting rigorous, high-quality scientific research by U.S.-based investigators focused on advancing our understanding of the underlying biological causes of hyperacusis, while TQ expands our reach globally and prioritizes projects that potentially could offer breakthroughs with near-term translation into treatment for patients.

By expanding our support across multiple research pathways, we aim to accelerate progress toward effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for hyperacusis.

As always, we thank our donors for their generosity in contributing to Hyperacusis Research. Your continued donations have made possible our continuing program with HHF and our expansion into a new research grant program with TQ.
