Rich Tyler, Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, is leading the 24th annual Management of the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Patient Conference. While the focus of the conference is for otologists, audiologists, and health care professionals who provide clinical services for tinnitus and hyperacusis patients, patients are welcomed to attend.
The guest of honor is Jennifer Melcher, PhD, from Massachusetts and Ear Infirmary, Harvard. Dr. Melcher’s talk is titled: “Biologic Basis of Tinnitus: A Basic Scientist’s Perspective on Tinnitus Interventions.”

I am age 72 next July. I have bad tinnitus in right ear, and loss of hearing in same ear, also after several tests, and recent head m r i I can not bear many sounds in my left ear,no tinnitus problem in left ear. I have had hearing aid trial, from hidden aid audiologist, mr Kevin mc goldrick, quay st Sligo

My condition gives me and my wife Carmel, great difficulty, the tinnitus in my right ear is very hard to bear for me. I just do not know where to turn for remedy, or if my condition can ever be resolved.one other person who checked me, said I was worst case he ever came across in last 22yrs.
