To focus on some health challenges, longtime President of Hyperacusis Research Bryan Pollard will scale back his work and board member Michael Maholchic will serve as interim President through December 31, 2022. Bryan has served as President since the incorporation of Hyperacusis Research Limited in 2011. His leadership as President will be greatly missed. Bryan will remain on the Board of Directors.

We have added a new member to the board. David Treworgy is a retired management consultant and hyperacusis patient in Arlington, Virginia. He has been a great help in producing our newsletters and will assist with communication to the community of researchers, patients, and clinicians.

Two distinguished individuals who have been of great help to Hyperacusis Research over the years have agreed to serve on our Board of Scientific Advisors.

M. Charles Liberman, PhD, is Director of the Eaton-Peabody Laboratories at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School. Charlie will assist us with strategies for supporting research and engaging research interest at scientific meetings such as the annual Mid-Winter meeting of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO).

Iver Juster, M.D., is a Health Informatics and economics consultant at several companies. His role is to help bridge the perspectives of researchers, patients, and clinicians.
